Case study: farmers teaching farmers
Blessings Mkandewiri is a farmer and, assisted by Ripple Africa, has so far planted 500 pine trees, 10 orange trees, 10 tangerine trees, 10 mango trees and 100 guavas. He has done a wonderful job and is very passionate to plant more each year
This year he is going to be training other local farmers on how to set up a tree nursery and then, subsequently, plant the young trees out
Every year more and more farmers new to the campaign are being taught by existing farmers, and the standard is very high
